Mike has the eyes of a hawk! We were out in the front yard and he tapped me and pointed to the bush next to our front door...Luckily I had my camera handy:D This little humming bird was not afraid of us at all.

I got the call from my Mom on Sunday morning...my grandpa passed away in his sleep. Even though you know it will happen...you are never ready for it! Another reason that I love photos/photography so much!!!! I will always have my pictures to remember him by (this one was taken about 6 years ago). And even though this particular photo is not great because of the lighting in his house, my crappy point and shoot camera, and Ashley's feet/my leg are cut off...I don't care!!!

He is such a good sport...I came home from work yesterday somewhat stressed thinking I did one of my photography assignment wrong, so I wanted to re-shoot it and upload it again. Mike willingly posed for me again!!!

This is my cute hubby was helping me finish up my photography class lessons...here he is assisting me in getting a custom white balance. He actually let me snap 106 pictures of him yesterday (and if you know him...that was a huge gesture of love!!!)...Thanks Hun!!!!!

One thing I love about summer is corn on the cob...so yummy!!!! When I was growing up, sometimes my mom would steam tons of corn on the cob (from my grandparents garden), and that is all we would eat for dinner (we loved it!)...so sweet and delish!!! I now do the same thing on occasion:D

This is the way Mike butters his corn on the cob (Nate is demonstrating here)...it makes quite a mess with the stick of butter, but it truly is the best way to butter up the cob!!!!

Mike and I were watching TV and noticed Peter and Dewey sitting together in our living room...considering Josh introduced Dewey only a couple of weeks ago...Pete is enjoying his new friend:D
