Today Mike and I had a date "day" (as opposed to date night).  Since it is mid September, I have been thinking ahead for our annual Clark/Worthington Christmas Photo shoot.  I had a few places that I wanted to check out~so Mike and I decided to make a date of it.
Mike always takes good care of my vehicle~safety first!!  Checking the air in the tires.


We drove to Old Town Scottsdale~which I love!!  So many neat things to look at!!



This reminded me of Kodi...


Not sure what type of plant this is, but it looked neat!!


We even saw some ducks :)


I cannot resist posing with some random lawn art!! 



And my hubby is the best!!  He always holds my purse for me while I am snapping photos (LOVE him).



We ate lunch at a YUMMY Pizza place, but I took photos of that with my iPhone (will probably be included in my weekly photo dump this weekend).

It was a fun day!!  And I think I found our photo "spot", I emailed a  photo to the kids for their opinion, LOL!

Our last stop was a cute little gelato place (I think I am going to skip my WW weigh in tomorrow~for reals!!).  We both decided on espresso chip (it was really hard to make a decision!!).

*lots of photos today*
I had a to-do list a mile long today!! But I only got one thing done... but sometimes that is Okay :)

I started off the day getting a gel manicure, which was really AWESOME!! Supposedly the polish stays on and does not chip for 3 weeks~SWEET (pardon my short stubby fingers, LOL!!). I didn't get too crazy with the polish color this time!!



And since Ashley and Nate both had the day off, and my hubby gets out early on Friday's, we went out for lunch at the BBQ Company, which is not the best choice for dieters!! Ashley and I are starting back up at WW tomorrow morning~so hopefully we didn't do too much damage, LOL!!

Nate wasn't in the mood for a photo, LOL!! (I warned you it was going online NATE!!!).



It was funny how we ended up being seated, but it was nice to get Ash and Mike together!!



Then Mike and I went to Costco (which was on my list), I love that place!! It took me a while to get everything put away and organized, but once it was done it felt AWESOME!!



And I cannot wait to eat one of those nectarines!!! YUM!!

Here is coffee maker take 2!!!

Last week you may remember my post about the new Keurig I purchased (post is HERE), well lets just say my hubby thought it was a big fat FAIL!! His biggest complaints...his coffee tasted like plastic, was not strong enough and didn't fill up his cup. He is a SERIOUS coffee drinker (he told me I could keep it if I wanted to, but knowing he wasn't enjoying his morning coffee kinda made me feel BAD!!).

I wrapped up the quirky (as he called it) coffee maker and returned it to Walmart (so glad they take most everything back, LOL!). Then headed to Bed Bath and Beyond and purchased this baby!! We have already tried it out and the coffee is strong, non-plastic tasting and fills his cup to the brim~HOORAY!! He is now Happy coffee drinker :)

Today is Day 15 of my 30 Day photography Challenge...I can hardly believe that I am halfway done!! I have really enjoyed the challenges!!

Let me just say that today was Definitely a CHALLENGE!! I don't shoot many silhouette's!! I am usually trying to meter off the person so they are not underexposed, LOL!!

Big Thanks to my hubby for being my subject today~he didn't mind since he would be darkened (he is funny about getting his picture taken sometimes!!). He was a good sport and let me take about 30 shots until I got it "somewhat" right~thanks BABE!!!

"Someone you Love"

I love lots of people~but the 3 most near and dear to my heart are these 3 crazy peeps below!!! Since my sweet family was not in the mood for a photo shoot today (I let them off the hook, once in a while, LOL!!!), I decided to pull this FAVORITE photo from my scanned photo file. They will probably wish they did the photoshoot today~ha ha!!!

This was taken around 1997 or 98 (way, way, WAY before my photography days~I think this was taken with a film point and shoot, LOL), when we were living in Lynchburg VA. Mike was finishing his bachelor's degree at LU. Surprisingly, those "lean" days were some of the best times in all our lives!!!

I have never been so HAPPY to pick up prescriptions in my entire life!!! I am hoping that my hubby finally gets some relief!!!

You may remember my post last week, that my hubby was not feeling well, and we took a trip to our primary care doctor's office; well after a week of not getting much better, he was off to the doctor's office again today. They ordered some blood work (let me just say, that he HATES needles with a passion!!). I went along, for moral support, LOL!! I was sooo planning on taking a picture of him getting his blood drawn (you can imagine how thrilled he was about that), but...they had a sign up in the waiting room~NO Pictures (SERIOUSLY?? Since I am a rule follower, I didn't take any, I didn't want the Lab Police to arrest me, LOL!!).



Mike did great~so glad he had a guy who liked football draw his blood for him, because they chatted about that and I think it took his mind off of the needle for a second, or a half second, LOL!!

Here he is with his hot pink bandage and TV remote in it's usual spot.

Happy Friday~
today my hubby (who has not been feeling well), came home early from work. He started breaking out with a weird rash on his neck, back and arms, and had a high fever. So off to the doctor's office we went. We were called in right away (too good to be true!!!), and then waited in the exam room for 40 minutes. My hubby is a little on the ADHD side, so he was getting a little antsy (driving me crazy, LOL!!). Did you know that someone can play an entire song flipping their flip flops??? Well lets just say it is annoying, LOL!!



I found other ways to amuse us...can you guess??? I {heart} my iphone!!!



I think Mike may have updated Facebook 10 times while waiting, LOL!!


waiting for the results of his strep test~negative. Apparently he has some sort of a virus and an allergic reaction to something~picked up his prescription for steroids...


then we decided to stop for a treat after~since he was reasonably behaved, LOL!!!


What can I say~we live an exciting life, LOL!!!!

it's funny~when Mike and I get home from work, we immediately change into our "uniforms" (that is what we call our comfy, lounge around the house clothes), LOL!! Which is pj bottoms/t-shirt and slippers for him and shorts/t-shirt and socks for me.



After dinner, homework (Mike), blog posting (me), making lunches (me), Mike and I will try to catch up on some of our recorded shows on the DVR~GOOD TIMES!!!

I try to walk at least 3 times per week, although I can easily talk myself out of it!! It is soooo much more fun to walk with someone!!! My sweet hubby accompanied me today~it was nice to chat about our day and enjoy the 75 degree weather. Okay, 1 down 2 more walks to go, LOL!!

My hubby is one of the busiest people I know~On top of all his other duties, he is working on his degree~He is almost done with his Masters in Management~I am so proud of him!!

Mike received this "Patriot's" potato head guy from my mom, for his birthday. She always tries to find something Pat's themed for Mike (who is a huge fan), this year was a definite hit!! Mike brought mr. potato head to his office to display on his desk~I snapped a quick photo last night before he left for his new home ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!!
Here is the little gift I got my hubby for Valentine's Day~I just loved this Starbucks mug when I saw it (I think I will use it too, good thing Mike is good at sharing, LOL!). I also tucked a gift card inside to that same glorious location!
