Happy Memorial Day (a little late~since it is 8:30 pm)!! I had planned on a family cookout today (like we do every year), but Mike was still not feeling up to that (hoping the drugs start working soon!!). Instead I made a big dent in my to-do list, which always makes me feel good!!

So instead of BBQ ribs on the grill, sweet corn and baked beans (which I will put on hold for Father's Day)...this is what Mike and I had for dinner; I am not complaining, cause I could eat pasta every single day ;) it's just not your typical Memorial day fare.

Today we celebrated Mother's Day~my kids make me feel like a Rock Star!!!

I learned how to make this bunny fold napkin here. It seriously took me 20 min (or more) to figure out how to do it, and it still didn't quite look like Martha's~I am NO Martha Stewart, LOL!!!!

I like to get as much done the day before our family dinners as possible~I just whipped up some deviled eggs (since Mike and Josh like them so much, and I had made lots of hard boiled eggs). I make them the same way my Mor Mor (grandmother in Swedish) did...Miracle Whip, s&p, a little paprika, and some parsley or chives for color. She even game me this egg plate a long, long time ago *makes me smile every time I make them*



I am hiding these in the garage fridge~cause someone, I won't mention any names (JOSH) has been know to steal a few before dinner.

It is that time of year...the peeps are out (well they are really out for all holidays now, but Easter is their main holiday).

I {heart} peeps!!!! I know most people think they are gross~but who doesn't love a sugary marshmallow chick??? Seriously, I love them fresh or stale, LOL!!!

Happy St. Patty's day to ya!!

Yesterday I ran into the grocery store to pick up a few items and noticed the display of corned beef and cabbage. I have not made that in a VERY long time~soooo decided to celebrate St. Patty's Day up right, LOL!! I opted for baked potatoes instead of the mushy boiled ones, and yes, I know I forgot the carrots~it was so DELISH!!

Here is the little gift I got my hubby for Valentine's Day~I just loved this Starbucks mug when I saw it (I think I will use it too, good thing Mike is good at sharing, LOL!). I also tucked a gift card inside to that same glorious location!
