It has been a busy Sunday (they usually are), so after church/leadership meeting today, Mike and I came home, took our usually Sunday nap...we thought it felt kinda chilly (it is 55 degrees in Phoenix today~I know, not really considered cold, but to us Phoenician's that is chilly). I whipped up some SB toasted marshmallow hot chocolate~YUM!! Just the thing to warm us up and get our chocolate fix!

Sometimes (most times), my day off is really not a day "off." I have been running around doing errands today. When Mike gets home~we will do our monthly shopping here. Don't I live an exciting life??

One of the perks of working in a doctor's office, are the (free) lunches brought to us by the pharmaceutical reps (ever wonder why your meds are so expensive, LOL!!). Tuesday we had lunch delivered from here, which is one of my favorite places to eat :) I didn't eat my fortune cookie on Tuesday...and since I was having a "hungry day", I broke into it today~this is what my fortune said...not really sure what project it is referring to~since I have several! LOL!!

I LOVE coffee~
I blame my grandmother for my addiction, LOL!! She was Swedish and started all of us grand kids on coffee at a young age (of course with lots of cream and sugar). I have fond memories of sitting at the kitchen table with my Mor Mor, eating some sort of coffee bread, scorpa, or her famous pound cake, it is no wonder I LOVE sweets, LOL!!

Well, our fridge is usually well stocked with numerous flavors of Coffee Mate, so the past few trips to the grocery store, I didn't buy any...well, we ran out *gasp*!!! Mike and I shared the last few drops (more like a few tablespoons) in our coffee and of course on my way home from work, I stocked up again!! This is one of my fav's.

Mike and I started working on our taxes yesterday~and I am so relived to have FINISHED them today~it is such a good feeling to get that behind us!! We are even getting a little bit of a return~too bad it will most likely go to fix my vehicle, blah!!



*and if the top portion of our tax form looks a little blurry~it is because I blurred it out...I don't really want my address and social security number available to everyone, kwim?, LOL!!

Today Mike and I ventured out in the rain (which is a rare occurrence here in AZ), to do some shopping...we both had some Christmas gift cards we wanted to spend. Once we parked our car and were getting ready to go into the store~it started pouring. We got soaked (and our hair looked pretty bad~especially with the addition of the wind, LOL!). Mike treated me to one of these on the way home~YUM!! Just the thing to warm us up~but it didn't do anything for our wind blown flat hair, LOL!!! Good thing we are in for the night *wink*

*I am definitely noticing a food theme to my 365 photos~guess I really like to eat :)

Ashley and I are always on the lookout for WW snacks that are yummy and low in points (we are both lifetime members)~she usually finds most of them (she is a good shopper). Last week she brought me one of these yummy drinks for lunch...and can you believe it is '0' yes, ZERO points~now that just makes me happy!! Of course I stocked my fridge with some of those babies!!

Tried my hand at some potato soup for dinner~I did lighten it up a bit to fit into my WW plan (I used skim milk, less butter, and low fat sour cream/cheese)~so good, especially with all the toppings (chives/sour cream/bacon bits/cheese)!! A big bowl of yumminess!!

My allergies have been a pain in the you know where this week!! My right ear has been blocked since Monday, which is driving me CRAZY!!! I decided to use both of my allergy medications together~I hope you can't overdose on allergy meds, LOL!!

Mike received this "Patriot's" potato head guy from my mom, for his birthday. She always tries to find something Pat's themed for Mike (who is a huge fan), this year was a definite hit!! Mike brought mr. potato head to his office to display on his desk~I snapped a quick photo last night before he left for his new home ;)

Here is the little gift I got my hubby for Valentine's Day~I just loved this Starbucks mug when I saw it (I think I will use it too, good thing Mike is good at sharing, LOL!). I also tucked a gift card inside to that same glorious location!

Today is my hubby's birthday~in our family, you can choose whatever you want to eat when it is your special day (home cooked or restaurant). Mike wanted his favorite dinner of stuffed fillet of sole and twice baked potatoes. Since it will be just he and I at home tonight~I fancied up the table a bit ;) Happy Birthday Mike!!!

Every couple of months I like to go through my closet and get rid of stuff I don't "really" wear (or stuff I talked myself out of purging the last time around)~My rule is if I have not worn an item in at least 6 months~it goes. Gonna make a Goodwill run tomorrow.

The MCP project 52 theme this week is words~not sure if this is the one I am going to submit...I just liked the quote and added it to the chalk board in our family room. A nice reminder to appreciate our family and friends :)

Most times when I call Josh (on his day off) to ask him to do a few chores around the house~I usually get the answer "Mom, I already took my shower~I will do it on my next day off." So now I write out a to-do list and stick it to the bathroom mirror~VIOLA!! Problem solved :)
